Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
This policy explains how you can cancel what you pay for on Talaskill and when you can get your money back. It is part of the Terms of Use (Section 11), and it does not limit any right you have under the consumer law of your country.
1. During the launch period
During the launch period every feature is free and nothing can be bought, so there is nothing to cancel or refund. This policy applies from the day paid features are switched on; the pricing page will say so.
2. Subscriptions
Subscriptions (such as the Pro plan, the Business plan and subscriptions to creators) renew automatically at the end of each period. You can cancel at any time from your account page, in two taps. After you cancel, the subscription does not renew and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
We do not refund the unused part of a period, except where the law requires it, where we charged you by mistake, or where the paid feature did not work for a significant part of the period because of a fault on our side.
3. One-time purchases
If you have not yet used a one-time purchase (for example a CV download credit), you can ask for a refund within 14 days of paying. A purchase that has been used — the CV has been downloaded, or the paid video has been watched — cannot be refunded, unless it did not work as described.
By starting a download or a video straight away, you ask us to provide the digital content immediately, and you accept that, where the law allows it, this ends any right to withdraw from that purchase.
4. Mistakes and payments you did not make
If you were charged twice, charged the wrong amount, or charged for something you did not receive, tell us and we will refund the difference once we have checked it. If a payment was made from your account without your permission, contact us immediately: we will secure the account and, once the facts are confirmed, refund the payment.
5. Payments to creators
Support payments and purchases of creators' content can be refunded during the holding period shown on the pricing page if the content was not provided as described. A refunded payment is taken back from the creator's earnings, as the Terms of Use explain.
6. How to ask for a refund
Email Talaskill1@gmail.com from the address on your account, with the date of the payment and the PayPal receipt or transaction number, and tell us briefly what went wrong. We answer within 7 days. An approved refund is returned through PayPal to the account or card you paid with; PayPal and your bank may take some days to show it.
7. PayPal disputes and chargebacks
Please contact us before opening a dispute with PayPal or your bank: most problems are solved faster that way. You keep your right to open a dispute and PayPal's buyer protection. While a dispute is open, we may pause the paid feature concerned, and an account used for repeated unjustified chargebacks may be restricted.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. A change never applies to a payment made before it, unless the change is in your favour.
