Build a CV that passes ATS

The free CV maker keeps a single-column, ATS-friendly layout in Arabic, English and eight other languages, in Word and PDF.

What is an ATS?

An applicant tracking system (ATS) is the software many employers use to receive applications. It reads the text of your CV, sorts it into fields such as name, experience and skills, and lets recruiters search and rank candidates by key words. If the system cannot read your CV, a recruiter may never see it.

What this checker looks at

Whether the text can be read at all, including Arabic stored as shapes and garbled fonts; your contact details; standard section headings; length; layout traps such as two columns, tables and pictures; bullet points, numbers and dates; and, when you paste an advert, the key words you are missing.

Questions

Is the ATS CV checker free?
Yes. It is free, with no sign-up, and your CV never leaves your device.
Does a high score guarantee my CV passes every ATS?
No. Each system, and each employer's settings, is different. A high score means your CV avoids the problems that most often stop a system reading a CV.
Can it check Arabic CVs?
Yes. It reads Arabic and English CVs, and warns you when Arabic letters are stored as drawn shapes, a common problem with designed CVs that stops searches from finding your words.
PDF or Word: which is better for ATS?
Both work when the PDF is made from a text document. If the employer asks for one format, use it. Avoid scanned PDFs and CVs saved as pictures.
