How many words a minute can you type? Choose English or Arabic and a length, then type the text. The clock starts with your first letter. You get your speed, your accuracy and what it means for office jobs.
Pasting is turned off. Mistakes are marked in red; you can go back and fix them.
Typing speed is one skill employers look for. Talaskill's free tests prove others, such as Excel, customer service and data analysis, with a verified result you can add to your CV.
As in typing tests worldwide, one word means five characters, spaces included. Your speed counts only the characters that match the text, divided by five and by the minutes the test took. Accuracy is the share of letters you typed right the first time, so a mistake you fix still counts against accuracy. Nothing you type leaves your device.
Most office jobs ask for 35 to 45 words a minute; data entry and transcription jobs often ask for 50 to 60 or more, with accuracy of 95% or higher. Arabic is usually typed a little slower than English, which is normal.
